These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Operant mobile applications and the operantdogtrainer.app website. By accessing or using Operant, you agree to these Terms.
Humane training commitment
Operant is built for positive reinforcement and humane behavior support. You agree not to use Operant to plan, promote, or execute punishment-based or aversive training methods, including shock, prong, choke, or intimidation-based techniques.
Not professional advice
Operant provides educational and organizational tools. Insights, sitter protocols, and website content are not veterinary, medical, or legal advice. Consult a qualified professional for health, safety, or aggression concerns.
Accounts and acceptable use
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. You may not attempt to disrupt the service, bypass usage limits, scrape data without permission, or upload unlawful or abusive content.
AI features are subject to fair-use limits (for example, a number of Insights updates or sitter protocol generations per day) to keep the service reliable.
Sitter links
A sitter link lets anyone who has it view a read-only protocol and submit quick logs until the link expires or you close it. You are responsible for what you include in a protocol and who receives the link. Caretakers who submit logs agree to these Terms for that use.
Subscriptions
Operant Pro is an auto-renewing subscription billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play at the price shown before purchase. It renews until you cancel in your store account settings, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Deleting your Operant account does not cancel a store subscription.
Intellectual property
Operant, its branding, and original content are owned by us or our licensors. You retain ownership of content you submit, and you grant us a license to host and process it solely to operate the service.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Operant is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required for security or legal reasons. You may stop using Operant and delete your account at any time.
Changes
We may modify these Terms. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
