Operant ("we," "us") provides humane behavioral coaching tools for pet parents. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have when you use our mobile apps and public website at operantdogtrainer.app.
Information we collect
Account information: When you sign in (for example with Google or Apple), we receive identifiers needed to authenticate you and maintain your profile.
Pet and training data: You may store pet profiles, behavioral journal entries, AI coach conversations, and sitter protocol content. This data is associated with your account when you are signed in.
Usage and diagnostics: We may collect app version, device type, and crash or performance logs to keep the service reliable.
Public sitter links: When you generate a sitter protocol link, anyone with the URL can view the read-only protocol on the web. Do not share links you do not want others to access.
How we use information
We use your data to deliver coaching features, sync your journal across devices, generate context-aware AI guidance, and display shared sitter protocols.
We do not sell your personal information. We may use service providers (such as cloud hosting and authentication) that process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards.
We may use aggregated, de-identified statistics to improve product quality.
AI coach
The AI coach processes your journal and profile context to suggest positive-reinforcement strategies. Coach outputs are informational and not veterinary or medical advice. Do not rely on the coach for emergency situations.
Data retention and deletion
We retain account and training data while your account is active. You may request account deletion by emailing contact@operantdogtrainer.app. We will delete or anonymize personal data unless we must retain it for legal compliance.
Security
We use industry-standard transport encryption and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use a strong sign-in method and keep sitter links private when appropriate.
Children
Operant is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
